Are you interested in becoming a food vendor? Let us know who you are, where you are from, and what you sell. Standard space is 10’ wide x 10’ deep. There will be an 8’ table across the front of the booth for displaying and selling, and another across the back for preparation and storage. Please let us know if you are using a street cart which will not fit into a 10’x10’ space. Also please list any additional equipment other than your prepared food and serving containers that you will be putting in your space.


Please note – we use a ticket system for food sales. Customers will purchase food from you with coupons which you will turn in for reimbursement.

Fee = Registration fee of $100, plus 15% of food sales.

Thursday, Dec. 3:  12:00 pm – 9:00 pm Load In/Set-up

(You can stay later, but must be in the building by 9:00 pm.)


Friday, Dec. 4:   7:00 am – 8:30 am Load In/Set-up

5:00 pm – 8:00 pm General Public


Saturday, Dec. 5:  10:00 am – 6:00 pm General Public


Sunday, Dec. 6:  9:00 am – 10:00 am Vendor Appreciation Breakfast (in Food Court)

10:00 am – 5:00 pm General Public

5:00 pm – 9:00 pm Load Out


PLEASE NOTE:  All exhibitors are required to have their displays open during all of the above hours, unless exceptions have been arranged in advance. You must stay open until the close of the show at 5 p.m. Sunday.


REGARDING THE FACILITY: The Champlain Valley Expo Center is a modern, one-story convention facility on Rt. 15 in Essex Jct., VT. We are in North Hall at the far end of the building.  Please follow signs to parking/load-in area.


REGARDING SCHOOL GROUPS:  We will have more than 1000 school children rotating in and out throughout the day. School groups are being scheduled to avoid crowding, and will be well chaperoned, but it will still be very crowded!  It is important that each booth reflects the cultures it represents in an educational way.


Please put some thought into the appearance of your booth. Your tent frame or pipe and drape walls are part of your booth and should be covered with maps, posters or other decorative items. Blank walls detract from the overall atmosphere we are working hard to create at the Festival.


You are encouraged to wear a national costume in your booth (even a t-shirt from your country is better than street clothes), and to invite conversation with visitors about your region and products.


REGARDING YOUR PRODUCTS: You have been chosen to participate because you are representing a unique culture from somewhere in the world. Please make sure that everything you exhibit is a genuine craft of your country. If you exhibit items that are inappropriate, you will be asked to remove them.


REGARDING HOUSING:  There are several hotels in Colchester that are not more than 5 miles from the Exposition Center.  Check the internet for Day’s Inn, Motel 6, Quality Inn, Handy’s Extended Stay, etc.
